 Day 5 Teaching Day 1

Today was the day I got to teach my lesson in the infant classroom. I wasn't nervous at all because I feel that I have been interacting with the children so well every time I'm there that I'm able to see what type of personalities each child has and their level of development. I believed my lesson would meet their capabilities. I have worked on story time before with the children and for my lesson I made a few adjustments such as giving them each a tiny stuffed animal so they could occupy their hands while I read the story and keep them from grabbing on to my book. My next activity was having them put the different colored balls into the matching colored bucket. One thing that didn't go as planned was when I was trying to layout the buckets and show them how to do it they just went ahead and grabbed the buckets themselves and started putting the balls in there. At that point I decided to assign the children each a color and I would help them find the colored balls that matched the bucket they had so they can put them in there focusing on the colors. Overall I felt like it went really well and I enjoyed my day with them.
